Initially my intentions are smokeless but inevitably I will reload for black powder cartridge for this pistol as I do for my 2 rifles in BP (Springfield Trapdoor 1873 in 45-70 and Winchester 94 in 38-55).
Personally I carry a plastic milk jug with warm water and a squirt of Dawn dish soap to the range with my BPCR's . (it's hot when I leave the house)
Each case goes immediately into the jug to begin working those corrosive salts out of the inside of the case.
Upon returning home they go into an ultrasonic cleaner, then oven dried, deprimed and the corn-media tumbler.
This keeps the brass "Healthy" but the nice shiny brass look is gone after shooting BP. I suppose a steel pin wet tumbler would correct that but I sort of like the "case colored" look of the brass.
