A couple years ago I traded for a 1968 Winchester Mod 94 30-30 'Buffalo Bill' commemorative and it came with the original box of ammo dated 1967 from Montgomery Wards in a 'Hawthorn' box with 18 rounds in it. Anyway story was the two missing rounds were the only two fired out of the rifle so after I had shot quite a few reloads through it I decided to shoot the 'Monkey Wards' ammo and let me tell you! Ammo was loaded a LOT hotter 'back then' than it is now - the 170 gr rounds coupled with the steel crescent buttplate were brutal! I am glad all I had were 18 to go as I don't think I could have taken any more!
