I've been buying Colt, S&W, and Ruger revolvers for over 50 years and look forward to see how the new Cobra feels in hand. At last years NRA convention I got to handle Kimbers first revolver the K6S. I was impressed by the fit and finish of their offering, the thing just wreaked of quality. Last week my LGS got 5 Kimbers in and one had my name on it. If the new Cobra has half the quality of the K6S I'll buy one just to have it. The Kimber is expensive but the money is well spent on a truly precision instrument, you have to actually have one in hand to appreciate just how well designed and built it is.
One thing I love about a properly timed S&W revolver is that you can stage the double action trigger making for very accurate shot placement. Some Rugers DA revolvers like the LCR also have this staging ability. That said the K6S has the hands down best factory trigger I've ever felt in my lifetime. For anyone thinking about the Kimber I highly recommend you check one out. I promise you'll be impressed.
What would make the K6S even better would be to chamber it in 327 Magnum to go along with my S&W 632 and Ruger LCR, SP101 and Single Seven in that caliber.
