I took one of their stainless 1911's in 38 Super in on a trade. The plan was to turn it at a gun show but decided to shoot it first. It shot well. I liked it. I kept it and started loading for it. My impression of Taurus has changed some based on that one experience. Guns and Ammo did a test recently on 10 different 9mm pocket style pistols. Only 3 completed the test sans any malfunctions. The Taurus 709 Slim was one of the 3 and had good accuracy. I might give one of them a spin.
