I can relate to the OP for his purchase. I had a similar situation several years ago when looking for a .22 revolver. Being a S&W guy, my intent was to pick up a new or used Smith but, locally they were few and far between and more than I wanted to pay. I was shown a Taurus 990 4" stainless at one shop and after some deliberation, I bought it. I have run countless rounds through it without a hitch. The action has smoothed nicely with use. It has proven to be both reliable and accurate. If my experience is indicative of Taurus quality, I am sure that MCorps0311 is going to be a happy camper.
