Now, in response to your comment about any of S&W guns not "hit top spot." Top spot for what? Are we talking about tops at most popular for competition shooting, for best bang for the buck, or for most occupying gun shop counters by quantity?

I like and own many S&W 9's, they are good guns I just don't rate them as the best in any category.
What I meant by not hitting top spot was in regards to different types of guns. For example, a compact, full size, pocket gun etc. they have good 9's in those categories, just nothing that jumps out at being the best.
