i saw on another thread here that the blazer brass boxes are marked not for ported barrels (didnt have ported before so didnt pay attn); i actually spoke with CCI and they said that ammo had a very thin plating that could come off thru the ports. So they say it is not for use in ported barrels like our PC Shields.

I have about 650 rounds thru my PC Shield (9mm), and near all has been 115fmj Remington UMC along with some Herter's as well. Also have run thru a few mags worth of Hornady Critical Def 115 as well.

Zero issues with the above ammo.

btw this is what the manu sent to me on my inquiry for the Blazer Brass line in my PC Shield:

"The bullet is a plated bullet. The plating on the bullet is thin. Some of the ported barrels had issues with shaving the copper plating from the lead core and spraying back onto the shooter. It is safety warning to prevent injuries from ported barrels."

note from their other lines he said their Lawman ammo was heavier plated and ok for use here
