If you shoot through a perp in a defensive situation you may hit somebody behind the perp that you don't want to.

Gold Dots are designed to expand at the 830 fps I'm looking for in 'my' bullet/cartridge combination. A heavy bullet designed to do the same i believe would be devastating. Kind of a 'best of both worlds' approach, or maybe a 'not as good as either cartridge' approach.
