Engine49guy, THANK YOU very much for your time and effort with your reply including the photos!! The problem with my gun was the plunger at the chamber end of the guide rod. The spring is very weak and does not fully extend the plunger. I have just ordered a new guide rod assembly from Gun Parts Corp at $21.00 delivered. I am confident that it will solve my problem.
