It'd be interesting to know just how much of a beating those Sport II had been through. Along with some other manufactures low tier AR's.
I too still have my original Sport with the 5-R barrel and it's still running like a champ. BUT it's also been taken well care of. Also have had the Ruger AR-556 and SR-556 and both those are holding up very well and also well taken care of. Well used, but not babied OR beaten.
In the long run, It'd be interesting to actually see which one of ALL the lower tier AR-15s do hold up the best. Not just the S&W or Rugers.
