Optimum BHN = PSI / (1422 x .90)

--sometimes subbing in CUP for PSI, but for the most part, it also doesn't hold up real well.

The truth of the matter is that it's just not that important. Softish for low pressures, and hardish for high pressures. Beyond that, don't sweat it.

Although at 2k fps you're well into GC or jacketed territory anyway.
