You'll get no argument from me on your answer. But I find it interesting that Made in U.S.A. is absent from the frame. The serial number is right on the cusp of when that first appeared.

And yes, the walnut stocks on a round butt in this period are great to see (instead of black hard rubber). Very cool! I would like to know if they turn out to be numbered correctly, but this is still in the pencil era, so they might be very difficult to see.
