I agree, and if that same pistol had been ordered from S&W by a sworn officers, it would have LE-marked ban-era 15rd mags and if it had shipped before or after, it would have non-marked 15rd mags.
Another thing to consider is that here in 2017... it either needs those mags for sale to a 10-limit state, or it's a silly handgun (in the opinion of some) for being a large, bulky, heavy double-stack 9mm that only carries 10-rds.
I think it makes more sense with hi-caps and guns of that era are not enhanced by "originality" when packaged with neutered mags.
