I've had quite a few M&P9's in the last 10 years. The accuracy, build quality and the reliability have been good in all cases.

I have not been able to shoot the new 2.0 but have recently talked to a friend that has purchased one and he is thrilled with it. He has owned a M&P9 and we have shot together with our 1.0's. Both of us have not had any problems with the 1.0 guns.

In discussing his new 2.0 he feels that it does everything better, accuracy ergonomics and especially likes the new grip stippling. I trust his opinion because we both have like interests in guns.

Based on his opinions about the new 2.0 I wouldn't hesitate purchasing the new 2.0 given the choice between the 2. Of coarse I've owned many 1.0's so why would I buy another when there's a upgraded one available.

Based on some of the prices I've seen the 2.0 vs. the 1.0 guns there's very little difference, the 2.0's can be had in the low $400's. I'm in the market for a 2.0 now. Just my 0.02
