Looks interesting. The new aggressive grip texture and the greater customization via the interchangeable backstraps will be big selling points.
The hand-wringing I've witnessed on other forums over the M&P's accuracy has me shaking my head, though.
Are we seriously expecting match grade mechanical accuracy from a $450-$500 pistol?
I look at it this way: If that M&P can place all its shots in the area of a pie plate at typical engagement distances without sacrificing reliability, what exactly is gained by tightening it up? Are 1" MOA groups at 25 yards really that big of a deal? Is this supposed to be a defensive pistol or a dedicated bullseye gun?
Just something to think about.
