...but it's a moot point anyway because generally NYC does not recognize a carry permit from anywhere else in the world. I'm not sure if there is an exemption for LEO or not. I would expect you'd still end up explaining it to a judge and never get your firearm back until you had spent 20X it's value in legal fees.
