While fishing in Alaska, I carried a 6" Model 657 in a S & W made shoulder holster.

The fishing guide never knew I was carrying until After (we got back to the boat) after seeing the 600 pound grizzly bear.

Personally, if you're going to carry a 6" revolver, I'd get a bigger caliber.
