Yes sir. Picked mine up a few weeks ago in an online auction. Seller was a small gun shop in NY. It's funny, the revolver was not listed as a NY-1, only as a 64-4. Of course, I could see the "NY-1" in the photos. I spoke with the shop owner and learned that the gun belonged to a retired NYPD officer who often visited the shop. I bought the snubby NY-1 and the same officer's 4" NY-1. Also got to talk with the officer on the telephone a couple times. I posted about it in another thread.
I paid $445 for the snub and $375 for the 4" (with box). Honestly, I would have paid at least $550 and maybe $600 for the snub. There were not many of them. Got a deal because of the way it was listed.
Keeping this pair together. I understand that they patrolled Harlem and Washington Heights.
Here they are with a 3" NY-1
...and my newest find, a 640-2 (NYPD)
What's this? Hmm....Naaah. Probably not.
Here is a collection of 64-4s. This is the NY-1, a Brinks gun, and another DAO and regular.
