Spoke to them Friday. It was kind of obvious that the CSR had been down this road many times with people bitching about the screw and its' super-torqueing. We got to talking, when I made it clear I didn't want to return the pistol, he suggested I just get ahold of a 1/8" hex attachment for a socket wrench. I did and was able to muscle off the old and semi-disfigured screw (gee it was on tight). A free replacement, of course, is on the way. My faith has been restored.
