Default S&W 629 Deluxe

I ordered this Revolver last week and it came in friday. There is a problem that has bothered me all weekend. The Revolver has a lot of fine scratches on the flat areas between the trigger top and the cylinder bottom back to the grips. If you look down the barrel on the right side about 1/4" from the front end of the barrel, there are more than 3 gouges that are to deep to call scratches. That was the first thing I saw when handed to me.

How can this be called NEW in this condition. My friend, the dealer said he can't send it back for another one. Can someone get me some options. The price out the door is $993.00. Why would someone (wholeseller) send a gun looking like that and say they won't take it back.

I think it was a Display gun or something like that. Also think thats why it was sold. I just bought 2 other new revolvers and not one scratch.

Anyone in the gun business have any options.
