finally I got some pictures (poor as they are)... The shots on the blued gun is an outdoorsman's ca. 1937.. The one of the same stocks on a 27-2 nickel..
The stocks overhang the K frame at the back strap, front strap and the heel.. About the same amount all three locations... They fit the n frame perfectly on the front and back straps, but hang over the heel...
Didn't I hear somewhere that some of the older N frames had a longer grip frame???
