I have to agree that the Model 10 is a classic revolver. I have far more M&P revolvers from the days before model numbers were assigned and I like them best. But when it comes to the Model 10, I much prefer the standard tapered barrel. I have some with the heavy barrel, nothing newer than the 10-6, but the -5 is my preferred version. Here are some pictures of my best example, picked up at an estate sale a few years ago, box and all, including an un-opened tool kit. The holster was a gift from my brother, once he knew I had procured the gun.




The Model 13 revolvers shown in previous posts above are nice. I don't own one. But I have their ancestor - a Model 10-6 in .357 Magnum, one of those purchased by the NYSP before there was such a thing as a Model 13-1.
