I'm old. Been a hoarder for a long time, don't see a reason to stop. When I decide to take the dirt nap, my offspring will have a problem.
Someone stated above about the weight problem. Even .50 cal boxes can weigh too much. Not so bad with factory ammo, but reloads pack a lot denser. You can hardly lift a can full of 44s. 38/357s are even worse. Rifle ammo is like feathers. But components are the worst.
And I don't stack ammo cans above 5 high. Lifting them to move them is bad enough, but lifting them high is too much to ask. I don't unpack factory ammo as a general rule. Back when the last guy got elected I went to Wally world and bought in big. Then when the ammo scare got bad, I sold some. A sin, I know. But I still have more than I will ever shoot.
The only caliber I'm short on is 32 Colt. No, not the same as 32 S&W. I've only had the gun for 5 or 6 years, and I haven't even shot a full box. No, I don't have dies nor have I ever seen any. I also haven't see .299 bullets for sale.
