Those stocks are NOT older than the gun. They are, in fact, quite a bit newer. The checkering pattern is postwar and the shoulder indicates they are no earlier than about 1953. Before I pulled the grips I was getting a little nervous, because I knew what I had. I thought for sure they were going to be original because I knew the person that bought it in the early 60's . It didn't turn out the way I thought it was going to, but I'm still tickled to death.
