We had one when I was growing up. My uncle brought one back from the Italian theater for my Dad. There was something wrong with the Beretta and in the late 60s my brother took it to a gun shop in Waukegan IL for repair. The shop "lost" the Beretta and gave him a piece of junk to make up for it. At the time my brother was about 20 and I'm sure they figured he's just a kid- so what.

But the folding bayonet Beretta/Carcano cavalry carbine my uncle also sent back to my Dad is still in the family! Dated 1943 and hasn't been shot since it left Italy!
