I thank you for your constructive comments. Instead of blathering, did you ever try it? As I previously stated, I tried peanut butter on my car, and it worked. Put some PB on a paper towel, and rub. No reason it can not take kydex residue off a slide. My wife told me about peanut butter and paint residue. So you can say it's an old wives tale.
BTW, my wife and I are originally from PA.
