Me too.
My simple solution: buy a 629 cyl and install or have installed in your 624. Also need to shorten barrel ext thru the frame and recut forcing cone, therefore, no going back. Cyls are easier to buy and cheaper than 44 tapered barrels.
Some just lengthen the chambers of the 44 Spl cyl and stick with factory length bullets.
