Several months ago I was attempting to fit two more long guns in the safe. I eventually realized that fitting any more in would require completely rearranging the safe. I laid cardboard out on the concrete floor, and proceeded to unload all the long guns, laying them in ranks on the cardboard. I was just ready to start re-loading the safe, when -
Mrs Dumpstick walked in.

My heart thudded. She surveyed the scene, and I could see her counting. Counting, I tell you.

It seemed like forever, her taking in the view, me looking like a carp about to be landed.

Finally, she broke the silence. Looking me square in the eye, she said ' Wow. That's a lot of rifles in that safe. You get any more, we'll need a bigger safe !'

And she left the room.

I think I'll keep her.
