Cool. Good plan.
I get about 650 fps with 5 gr Trail Boss and a Rainier 240 PFP. 5.3 gr. gives 675 fps.
That's about as low as I would go with plated bullets for fear of sticking one.
They have the most friction of any bullet out there.
You should get maybe another 50 fps out of a plain cast bullet.
I have a couple boxes of the Xtreme plated bullet but prefer the Rainier.
Those have a bit of a hollow base like the Speer which I think helps with the obturation in slower target loads.
After several decades of cleaning guns I have finally gone away from plain cast bullets for target shooting
now that the plated and coated ones are becoming more common.
I still use heavy GC cast bullets in the 445 and 444 where they are naturals and jacketed options are limited.
