Sometimes 45 acp brass will be bulged near the base which will cause problems in loading them in a revolver.
I started using a cartridge gage to check all my 45 acp brass before loading them into moonclips. Some of my brass are older than than dirt ,, and I've been picking up range brass for years..
I was getting probably 20 - 30% drop out when I started using the cartridge gage. I purchased a Lee Bulge Buster die and started running all the brass thru it before reloading. Solve the problem.
