Last night I carefully removed the side plate off the 21-4

All 3 screws had red loctite on them but came out with a correct fit screw drivers and a little umph. The strain screw was tight but came out with more umph..The screw heads are pristine and showed no signs of ever being touched.

The internal parts were bone dry without a speck of lube of any kind.

This is my 1st first hand experience with MIM and the IL.

The hammer reminds me of my Hopalong Cassidy cap gun from when I was six.I don't remember if it was the hard to find 4" or the standard 5"?

The rebound slide looks like black plastic

Well all the parts came out and went back in with a light coating of Rem Oil.I left the firing pin dry.

Ah,nothing like all my others with hammer mounted firing pins.

Range session delayed until tomorrow.

My Lee grey .44 Spl 4 die set arrived this morning plus a 4 hole turret.

I think I'll make up a few loads with a Lee Hand Press first.
