Hi, Had the same problem with my Vaquero. I had reloaded the 45's for my 1911's. I had adjusted the sizing die to fit the 1911 which is a little looser than the Vaquero cylinder. I solved my problem by setting the sizing die down a little farther on the case. Sounds like a simple fix, but it worked for me. Hope it works for you. I am also running a tapered crimp.
