I was able to get out and run a few shells through the 870 this afternoon to check functioning, so far I'm very pleased. First ran a few birdshot just to make sure it worked, then tried some of my old stash of Estate #4 Buck. At 20 yards, probably ten of the 22 pieces of shot hit an eight inch piece of steel.

Then I tried some Winchester slugs, shooting at two gallon jugs of water, one at 25 yards and another at 40 yards. Fired resting across the hood of my side by side ATV. Two shots, two kills, gallon jugs ripped asunder and flying. Didn't have to touch the sights. Very satisfying....

Tomorrow I'll spend more time patterning the shotgun and accuracy testing with slugs. I'm going to like this shotgun!
