Years ago, in my wild and woolly youth (LOL), a friend was ranting about how a friend of his got beaten by some L.A. Sheriffs. Seems he was cuffed and was being carried to the car when he called the two Sheriffs a "bad name". Even at that age, I responded that if he called the Sheriffs Deputies bad names while cuffed, he deserves getting beat up for sheer stupidity. Those are genes we don't need in the pool!

My M.S. is in animal behavior and years ago, I read the Naked Ape. Desmond Morris, a world expert in primates, compares human behavior to other primates. He has a chapter on dominance and territory and talks about how to avoid traffic ticked. It works (sometimes).
