I shoot almost every week at my gun club, 2 days in a row. One week it's my S&W 686 shooting .38s, the next week .22s with my S&W models 41 and 617. My gun club is only 8 minutes from home.
Two days in a row allows me to clean them fairly soon, switching makes it easy to clean the same caliber.
