I have several edc in my rotation. I change them about every week or two. Mostly depends on weather up here. I like big bore snubbies, so I have Smiths in .44 sp., .45 Colt, .44 mag (but I only carry .44 sp for edc) and a 357. I also have a Charter Arms Bull Dog .44 and a Colt Defender.45 for warmer weather. I just picked up a Kahr CM40 for pocket carry. Have to break it in first before I carry it. Doing that tomorrow. I don't see anything wrong with rotating your edc. Kind of breaks up the monatany.
