Three Pistols
Three pistols from a friend's estate. I'd rather have the friend than the pistols. First is a French Mle 1935A. It has an "L" prefix to the serial numbr so it's fairly late production. It was designed by Petter and is the forerunner of the SIG P 210. Next is a Mle 1935S. When Ch*tellerault couldn't produce pistols fast enough to supply the French army in Indochina, they farmed out production of some parts. This frame was made by Manufrance, and is stamped MF. The serial number has the letter prefix "G" and they are usually referred to as 'MFGs'. Last is a Model 1930 Mauser in pretty nice condition. The stock has a typical German repair for a split in the wood. It's almost the right one for this pistol; late stocks had no serial number on the attaching iron and had the Mauser logo on one side. This one, however, also has a cutout on the inside for a selector switrch; it's for a schnellfueuer! Too bad I don't have a schnellfeuer instead of the stock.
