I've got a shield 9 and 45c, both MA compliant with the Apex dcaek and I can't do any better than about 7 lbs on my Lyman. Everything has been polished, no grit, etc.. I've tried the so called free state trigger return spring without any improvement. I'm fine with them at 7 lbs., but for the life of me, I can't understand how some people are claiming they get 4.5 to 5.5 lbs.. I'm wondering if it might be a MA compliant trigger bar. Speed shooters shows a MA compliant trigger bar - I forget if it's for the 9 or 45, I don't think it's for the shield. Curious to see if anybody has an answer.

In the end, I'm very satisfied with where my guns are. Having started with the atrocious Ma triggers north of 10 lbs and now being at a smooth 7 lbs, it's like night and day.

I handled a shield 45 and Sd9ve for the heck of it the other day, both MA compliant and God awful.
