Schofield? - note the ? & thanks for the ID. NO "letter" info available. I would cut the top strap off another barrel & weld it on, conceal the weld & engrave appropriately. As I stated the top strap is missing. As for "qualified", I've done more complex jobs than that in my 50 years of pre-perc gun restoration. Cost was not a factor in the issue --
