a quick answer: I have no idea what brand the birdshead grip is that I installed but there was plenty of meat in it to drill it and install a QR stud for the swivel on the sling, I would think the ones on the factory remington and the mossy also for that matter would also have enough meat to them. I also have a leather scabbard that I had a shoe repair shop build for me a long time ago........ not to carry it on me but to strap it to the handlebars of my Harley I haven't done that for a long time...I mean what do you do with it when you park?
