If you hesitate, the gun will soon be gone, thus solving your dilemma.
If a M-60-4 in really nice shape appears, buy it. They are wonderful small trail guns and defense revolvers.
Keep the true snub, too. They don't fill exactly the same role.
If you want a small .357, I think the Ruger SP fills the bill better than a J-frame S&W. When Smith Magnumized the J-frame, they went a bridge too far, I think. The M-60-4 was just right.
