Tell me more about the 32 S&W long that was reamed out to accept 32 H&R!

My mom has an old S&W, I'm not sure the model # in 32 S&W long. It is very hard to find any ammo and when we do it is very expensive and only in Target bullets. 32 H&R is easier to find, less expensive and probably a better SD effectivness anyhow.

Mom was thinking about buying a whole new gun as a result of the ammo a availability issue. Reaming out to accept 32 H&R mag may be THE solition for her!

If reamed, do you have to restamp to show that 32 H&R is accepted?
