My Shield .45 pierces the primers, doesn't matter what brand I'm using. Never had any other pistol or revolver do it, though.

I'm not sure what the problem is? The ammo performs as it should, correct? What difference does it make if the firing pin punches a hole in the primer? The pierced primer doesn't damage the case.
If you're loading your own ammo and using Federal primers, have you ever had a problem with crushed primers?
