WHEN YOU BUY A CHEAP GUN, THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU GET - A CHEAP GUN.
There are a dozen quality handguns selling for under $325, including two S&W pocket guns. Once you add transfer fees/shipping/tax, they do go over that mark, though.

The worst gun I've ever held was a chiappa 22lr derringer that a friend of my got huckstered into buying at a show for $100. He shot about 20 rounds before it basically fell apart.
