"Old" is when you don't have much interest in anything. I'm inches away from 67 and work on my guns, shoot a lot, make my own holsters, ride motorcycles, drive hot rods ---do my own work on them--- and rock out with the stereo cranked in my shop while playing with all the toys. On top of that, I have a vegetable garden, I cook from scratch every day, do all the home maintenance, yard work, cut and split firewood, hunt, fish and still party on occasion. Retirement is a full-time-plus job. The body is starting to betray me, but my mind is usually at full speed.
My EDC depends on what I'm doing, where I'm going, and what I feel like carrying at any one moment. I often change up from semi-auto to revolver, of vice versa, on any given day. I have a bunch to choose from and they all get let out to stretch their legs.
"Old" is a mind-set. If you keep the brain active and have an interest in life... good to go!
