Gorgeous holster, John. So, where's the leg strap?

The double hook device is actually known as the Model of 1910. The first holster adopted by the US military to carry the Colt Model of 1911 pistol was, indeed, the Model of 1912 swivel holster as made by the Rock Island Arsenal, but the double hook was the Model of 1910. As pointed out above the Model of 1912 holster was problematic and was quickly replaced in service by the Model of 1916 holster.
