batteries dead or poor contact, laser beam off POI, or poor beam intensity. Also I haven't even touched on the subject of: Laser mtg. screw coming loose, backing out , catching on the slide etc.

After a session at the range, you must remove the unit to clean your gun. (According to S&W instructions) In my opinion, the laser is more of a hindrance than an aid! I suggest to anyone considering the purchase of a BG380, get it in the no laser version! If you want one later, you can get the add on model.
Of course you would post this 2 days after I ordered one with a laser. Never had such a gadget before so was hoping it would be OK for a little fun.
