My SD9VE has very slight slide movement side to side that you can feel but not see, at least to my 69 year old eyes. My wife's Sig Sauer P238 has less movement, but my other SD9VE has more in that you can see the movement if you're looking for it that I never noticed before. Her Ruger SR22 is somewhere in between the two SDs. Hope this helps and not just muddy the water.
