$500 for a 5-screw N frame S&W is practically un-heard of in the last few years, at least in my experience. Well done.

I'll echo what others have said about the finish. Leave it alone and just keep it clean. And, save the plastic stocks and vintage holster as keepsakes for the gun. Wood stocks (please, no rubber) and a new leather holster will do that old gun proud.
