Back when I bought my first 6-inch Model 19 (a 19-3 version) the popular wisdom was that a K38 would outshoot it when using .38 wadcutters for target shooting. I was stubborn, couldn't afford two guns, and I really wanted the Model 19 more than a K38. I shot a lot of wadcutters through that gun and never could see anything to complain about whether using the wadcutters or full-charge .357s. It was one of my favorites for many years. I still have the gun and still shoot it now and then. I'll bet you will really like yours. They are great guns for target and field use. Congrats on your new sixgun!
